About

Hello, I'm Jodie Forbes and I live in London, UK.

In January 2017 I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at the age of 47 though I had noticed symptoms from age 45. About 10% of people with Parkinson's are diagnosed below the age of 50 and this is often called young onset or early onset. I started writing this blog to chronicle my journey with the condition which has taken me, both literally and figuratively, to many interesting places.

Because I was working for a large corporation when I started writing, the blog was originally written anonymously. I've since retired. So if you read the early posts, you may notice that some of the names are different from those used now.

For further information about Parkinson's, check out the YouTube channel I've helped develop. You may also be interested in a book I've written based on this blog.

Thank you for reading.
